Hello everyone, I’m Ankita Bhatia, currently pursuing B.E. in Computer Science and Business Systems at Thapar University. I’ve had a good academic journey throughout my college life and have also been part of some societies in college.

Round 1 – Online Test Round 2 – Interview(Technical + HR)

Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
The online test was designed to evaluate a range of abilities and consisted of several sections including: – logical reasoning – numerical – problem-solving – programming – interpersonal skills In total, the test lasted for an hour and a half.
Tell us about the interview round 1 including the questions that were asked.
It was a combination of a technical and HR interview round. The interview started with a short introduction about myself and then transitioned into a conversation about the different societies I have been involved with. From there, the focus shifted to the machine learning project I had completed. They delved deep into the specifics of the project and evaluated my knowledge of machine learning. Additionally, they presented puzzles such as water beaker questions for discussion. Towards the end, the HR team inquired about my reasons for choosing Axis Bank, what the job entails, and assessed my understanding of the job description.

It was combined with the technical interview.
What are the things students should focus on, in order of priority?
A solid understanding of data structures, as well as object-oriented programming and database management systems, is crucial. Along with OOPS, DBMS, knowledge of operating systems and computer networks is also essential. Additionally, it is imperative to strive for a high CGPA from the beginning, as it holds significant importance. You should also have some good projects because projects make a good impact on resume as well as your skills.
According to you, what role do extracurricular activities as well as participation in societies play?
I believe every student should participate in societies. It helps us grow and learn a lot of things. We experience a lot of new things and it helps in personality development.
What message would you like to give to your juniors regarding the stress they go through during placement season?
It’s definitely a challenging phase, but don’t lose heart. The right opportunity will come at the right moment. Stay confident and continue honing your skills. Remember, perseverance pays off in the end.
