Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, I’m Kartikeya . I hail from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and I’m currently in my fourth year, pursuing a B.E. in Computer Engineering at Thapar University. I’m delighted to share that I’ve secured a position at Siemens. Furthermore, I had the privilege of interning as an Advanced Application Engineering Analyst at Accenture. My hobbies include playing table tennis, and badminton.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

I will rate it up to 7-8. The interview questions were not overly complex, but the interviewer was more interested in evaluating the depth of your understanding and your ability to explore the topic, particularly in the context of data structures and algorithms (DSA).

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

The initial shortlisting was based on CGPA, with three roles being offered: digital, software, and embedded. Next, there was an online assignment that further filtered the candidates. Based on the assignment and their initial qualifications, 10 individuals were selected for the software role, 6 for embedded, and 6 for digital for the next interview round. The shortlisting criteria included a CGPA of 9 or above and relevant internship experience. The final interview round combined both technical and HR aspects. Out of the 10 candidates for the software role, 3 were selected. Additionally, 2 candidates were chosen for the digital role and 1 candidate for the embedded role.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

For the software and digital roles, the online assignment consisted of 28 questions. Among them, 26 were in the form of multiple-choice questions, and the remaining 2 were coding questions. The coding questions ranged from easy to medium in terms of difficulty. In the multiple-choice section, approximately 20 questions were output-based, while the others focused on topics related to Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), pointers in C++, aptitude, and some electronics as well.
