Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, I’m Rupanshi Jain a final year student pursuing Computer science and engineering at Thapar Institute. I’m excited to be joining NatWest as a Graduate Engineering Attendee, bringing with me valuable experiences from my internship at Red Hat and my role as an Outreachy intern at Fedora.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

I would say 8/10.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
  1. There was shortlisting based upon CGPA.
  2. Then there was online coding test.
  3. Followed by the interview.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

So, the test process consisted of two key rounds. The initial round was an online test (in Thapar labs) that lasted for 2 hours. There were around 50 questions based on DBMS, OS, data structures and algorithms as well as some verbal ability questions.  11 students were shortlisted for interviews.

Following the online test, I proceeded to the second round, which was a combination of a technical and managerial interview. In this round, I interacted with a panel of three interviewers, including a VP and assistant VP at NatWest.
