My name is Sunpreet Kaur. I am really elated by my placement. This company has been my dream company since my internship. So it was a shocker that I cleared the test since it was just after my MSTs.

What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria, coding or aptitude test, number of interviews)
It was like any regular company. There was an online test, GD round, Personal Interview, and HR round.
What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
For clearing the online test, it depends on your resume, aptitude, etc. I prepared for GRE and the questions were quite similar to GRE but a little bit difficult. I also gave Volvo test one day before my PI and HR.
Describe your all Technical Interviews specifying number of rounds and details of each round (if any).
FIRST ROUND: It was a GD round. They divided us into group of 10. A topic was given, and they gave us 2-5 minutes to think about some points. Whenever you raise your hand, just speak ASAP. Only start the GD if you know about that topic; otherwise, Wait for someone to start and add your points. Don’t stay silent. SECOND ROUND: It was an interview round. You have to prepare your resume really well. You should not lie in your resume at all. You can explain as much as you want but be precise.
Tell us about the HR interviews, if any, specifying the number of rounds and questions asked.
HR round was simple. It is an French MNC and I have been taking French courses so it was a benefit. There were basic questions like meaning of your name, what are your strengths, weakness and it was more about how you answer those questions.
What were the key factors of your selection?
I think my profile mattered the most. My resume was bit different from others. Most people followed the college profile, but I didn’t. I learned from YouTube how to be more crisp in your resume. I pinned points on my achievements.
What are the things students should focus on, in order of priority?
Focus on your resume. Put something in your resume which is different, which is desired by the company. Make it unique. Have good knowledge of the profile offered. And keep knowledge about the company also.
According to you, what role do extracurricular activities as well as participation in societies play?
I was in Girlup as a content writer. Content writing is my hobby. Many of my poems have been published.
Were there any companies you got rejected from after appearing for their interview? If yes, then tell us about your rejection story and what do you think were the reasons for your rejection?
There were two companies before this, Asian paints and American Express. Asian paints online test got auto-submitted due to network issues. American express was very selective. They rejected me on the resume only.
What message would you like to give to your juniors regarding the stress they go through during placement season?
Stress is normal, it happens to everyone. Put efforts. Don’t sit idle in your internship. It is a very precious time. Also, make your plan B.
