Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, I’m Aditya Das, a 4th-year student, has secured a placement at Amdocs. Proficient in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), I have hands-on experience with the MERN stack through a project. In my 3rd year, I interned at DE Shaw as a backend developer, followed by internships at Summit Group and FTE from Amdocs.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

A 7 out of 10

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

The Hacker Rank test primarily consisted of aptitude and multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with two additional Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) questions. This combination provided a succinct yet comprehensive evaluation of candidate’s problem-solving skills and technical proficiency.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

During the on-campus interview, my interviewer, who was pleasant throughout, focused our discussion primarily on Spring Boot, aligning with my internship experience. Interestingly, the interview was tailored to individual candidates, varying based on their assigned interviewer. Unlike some of my peers who were quizzed on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and other subjects, my interview delved into my internship experience and a backend-type question involving printing a pattern.

The positive feedback from the interviewer led to a unique situation for me—I didn’t have a second round and was directly referred to the HR round, with some candidates proceeding to a second interview phase.
