Interview Questions
Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
I’m Jigya Munjal, a final-year Electronics and Communication Engineering student at Thapar Institute. My technical expertise spans front-end development using Flutter, web development, and working on projects with Python and SQL. Beyond academics, I enjoy playing badminton, exploring music, and delving into books. Recently, I secured a role at Optum after successfully navigating their placement process.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
The overall difficulty level was moderate, around 6 out of 10. The HR round was very easy, focusing on situational problems and ensuring a smooth conversation. The technical round involved basic but in-depth questions about projects, OOP concepts, and DSA problems, which were manageable with preparation.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
The process began with a technical assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions on DBMS, OOP, SQL, and coding. Candidates were shortlisted based on their performance. The next stage included two interview rounds: a 5–10-minute HR round and a 20-minute technical round.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
The technical assessment was a mix of MCQs covering DBMS, OOP, SQL, and basic coding concepts. It tested fundamental knowledge and application skills essential for a software development role.
