Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, my name is Rishi Kumar. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from TIET. I am an ardent learner of technology and science. I have been gaining experience in the same through freelancing and internships. I have been placed at Accenture – a multinational client-based company.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

I would rate the difficulty level of the interview to be medium.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

Firstly there was a pre-placement talk conducted by the TNP cell which had online registration. Then there was a logical reasoning and cognitive round which also had an online portal for registration and required PAN card for same. One couldn’t participate if they did not have a PAN card. About 600 candidates participated in this round. After passing the cut off for same, there was a coding round which was qualified by about 194 students .Then there was a communication round which was qualified by 110 candidates, followed by the interview.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

First written test was conducted online and was a logical reasoning and cognitive round which lasted for 90 mins. It had questions from different sections – English, Family relation related questions, patterns, pseudo codes etc. Navigation was allowed and there was no section based time limit.

After passing the cut –off there was another coding round on same day which had two questions that were based on problem solving rather than deeper concepts. It had questions like finding the modulus, counting steps to found a specific pattern of strings and more. Each candidate was provided with a different set of questions.

The coding test was followed by a Communication test .It was not an elimination round but did affect the overall performance. It was a verbal round where a paragraph or an excerpt was dictated and questions had to be answered verbally and not in written form. It is good to have this in a quiet room as it helps one focus more. It went on for about 30 mins.
