Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

I am Aastha and I belong to the holy city of Amritsar. I am born to a doctor father and a teacher mother. The reason I chose Electronics 3 years ago is because that sounded like the best option on the basis of whatever we had studied till class XII. Thapar gave me many opportunities to showcase my skills. I was a part of the dancing society NOX. I have made a few projects here out of which one is currently in progress which is a weather station using Rpi and Arduino. I was also the year representative in the literary fest Elixir. Also, I was an intern under ‘Scholars for Change’ campaign at IIM Ahmedabad. I am a firm believer of hard work. I believe in always improvising myself. Whatever I am today, I’ll be a better person tomorrow.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

7/10

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

400-500 students had applied for EXL out of which around 200 students were shortlisted for appearing in the test. It was an online test (Duration: 60 minutes) conducted a day before the interviews. The test consisted of three sections: Quantitative(20), Logical Reasoning(10), Verbal(10). So there were 40 questions with negative marking involved along with sectional cutoff. So accuracy and time management were a must. One could not just desultorily click on options. I attempted 35 questions which I was 100% confident about. 50 students were shortlisted after the online test. Out of these, 11 from B.E. and 6 from MCA were finally selected. (Euphoria couldn’t be explained better.)
