Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
Hello, My name is Abha Himani. I’m final year student pursuing Computer Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. I’ve secured an off-campus placement at American Express, following my internship experience at Salesforce. Additionally, you’ll often find me enjoying Shayaris and listening to Ghazals.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
The level was moderate, but with diligent work and effort, one can do great
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
I secured my placement opportunity through the 2023 American Express Makeathon (off-campus), which was exclusively designed for women participants. Our team had four members.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
My team achieved a Top 11 ranking in the AMEX Makeathon competition. We had the privilege of working under the guidance of a mentor, all while I was also balancing my responsibilities at Salesforce during my internship. Although we didn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’t win, we did earn the chance to interview for the SDE role.
Project: “Snapay”, a pioneering website dedicated to transforming transaction authentication through state-of-the-art facial recognition technology. The objective is to establish a more secure and expedient method of conducting transactions by incorporating a double layer of Aadhaar photo verification.

Tech Stack used: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Implemented real-time face detection and recognition using Python, OpenCV, and deep learning libraries.
