Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, I’m Aman. I’m currently in my fourth year pursuing my B.E. in Computer Engineering. And I got a placement at Expedia. I basically got interned at Expedia in my third year. And then I received a pre placement offer from them. And I’d love to give the details about it.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

So there was a company named Expedia Group which came in the third year and we were supposed to give two online assessments. The first test was more behavioral and it was a 1 hour long test in which behavioral questions were asked where there were situation-based questions and you were supposed to tell them what you were more interested in. And after that, almost 50 students got shortlisted to give online assessments. And after the online assessment, around 30 to 40 students were taken to the interview rounds. And interview rounds were held offline, so we were supposed to be giving the interviews on campus. There were two interviews. And each interview lasted for 1 hour, 50 minutes for the technical part and the last ten minutes were reserved for the behavioral questions. And in the technical part, they asked mostly about data structures and algorithms.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

The written test was conducted on Hacker Rank and it’s duration was 60 minutes. The written test was a little on the difficult side. I don’t remember the questions exactly. But as far as I could recall, one of the questions was from DP and another one was about string manipulation. The level of the questions was tough, and I could do around 1.5 questions. And then I got an interview call.
