Interview Questions
Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
I am pursuing a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a CGPA of 8.57 (as of the 6th semester). During my sixth semester, I worked part-time as a Backend Developer at a startup, where I built scalable backend solutions using Node.js, gaining hands-on experience in real-world projects. Over the past year, I have also been consistently practicing Data Structures and Algorithms in C++, which strengthened my problem-solving skills and naturally steered my interest toward backend development.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
The initial shortlisting for the role was not primarily CGPA-based, candidates with a wide range of academic scores were considered, while some with higher CGPAs were not (It was most likely based on the stuff written in the Resume). All shortlisted candidates were invited to take an online assessment, and for my profile, 30 out of approximately 150 candidates advanced to the first technical interview. This round focused on backend fundamentals and core problem-solving skills. The second technical interview followed, with a slightly higher level of difficulty in both backend-related questions and DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) (11 selected out of 30). Finally, the process concluded with an HR round, after which I was selected for the backend developer role.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
The initial online assessment consisted of a single DSA problem that had to be solved with maximum optimality. The solution was to be written directly on Google Forms, so syntax accuracy and attention to detail were crucial since no IDE support was available.
The problem was based on combinatorial logic: given an array, X must select 3 distinct elements such that the sum of those elements is always greater than any single element Y may choose, regardless of Y’s choice. The task was to determine how many such selections are possible.
