Interview Questions
Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
Prateek is a final-year student from the CSE branch, and he is from Chandigarh. He is placed at American Express, and the thing about his placement is that he did a summer internship there in his 2nd year as well as his 3rd year. He likes to do web development, and problem-solving is his niche.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
I would rate the overall difficulty level to be 7-8 out of 10.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
First of all, this was an off-campus placement. It started with American Express’s CodeStreet Hackathon 2020, in which Prateek’s team secured a rank of 2. After that, there was a resume screening. After that, Prateek received an HR call to discuss the goals and verify if the person was aligned with the profile or not so that they could proceed further with the interview. Then, there were three rounds of interviews, of which two were solely technical, and one was technical plus managerial.
At the hackathon, Prateek’s team was asked to pitch two ideas, and the idea that got selected was credit card fraud detection. Following that, they created a prototype and presented it to American Express’s global product team.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
