Interview Questions
Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
I am Pritha Khanna, a 4th-year student pursuing Electrical and Computer Engineering from Thapar University. I interned as a Risk and Quantitative Analyst at BlackRock. My interest lies in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and programming, and I’m excited to share my journey and insights from the placement process.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
I would rate the interview difficulty as 7/10. It was a balanced mix of technical questions, case studies, and role-specific knowledge, requiring both depth and problem-solving skills.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
The placement process involved several stages. First, we had to clear an online assessment that tested aptitude and basic coding skills. Following this, there were two technical rounds, which focused on SQL, DBMS, Python programming, and case studies related to portfolio risk management. The final stage was the HR round, which assessed our cultural fit and motivation to join the company.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
The online test consisted of two parts: an aptitude section that covered logical reasoning and quantitative problems in a multiple-choice format, and a coding section focused on coding-related multiple-choice questions covering core programming concepts and algorithms. It was moderately challenging and tested both speed and accuracy in solving problems.
