Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
Hello, I am Rishita Grover. I am a fourth-year student at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, currently pursuing Electronics and Computers. Some of my hobbies include playing basketball and web development.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
I would rate it a 7.5.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
I got my placement through off-campus hackathons. The process involved multiple rounds. Initially, we were given problem statements to prepare a PPT and pitch our idea through a video. Top 12 teams were selected across India, and we were given a month to complete the project. The top three teams received direct placement offers, while the remaining teams went through an interview round.
For on-campus placements at American Express, the CGPA cutoff is generally 8.5, and the process is primarily open to CSE students. However, the off-campus process has no CGPA or branch restrictions.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
In the off-campus hackathon, there wasn’t an aptitude or coding test initially. The process began with pitching an idea and submitting a project. The evaluation focused on innovation, execution, and teamwork.
