Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, my name is Surabhi Mishra and I am a 4th year UG Student at Thapar University. I am from the Computer Science and Business System branch. I am a tech enthusiast and was a winner of SIH ‘22. I had won some international hackathons as well. I recently completed my summer internship from Arcesium and have cracked companies like JP Morgan and Amazon during internship times. Other than the tech stuff, I am enthusiastic about dancing, reading books and playing sports.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

The difficulty level was moderate.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

The placement criteria involved American Express Makeathon which was exclusively for women participants. The entire process started in the month of May. We had to participate as a team of 4 members.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

First round was the Idea Submission round in which we had to submit a presentation and a prototype. The theme we selected was Facial Recognition for Financial Transactions. Our aim was to make transactions safer using Facial Recognition technology. My team achieved a significant milestone by securing a place in the top 11 teams in the country.

Next, we had to work on the idea that we presented. 2 mentors were assigned by the Amex team who provided us with proper guidance.

Finally, we had to submit the project and the presentation. Although we didn’t win, we did earn the opportunity to interview for the SDE role.
