Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
The placement process for Samsung Engineering started with a minimum CGPA cutoff of 6.5, with no backlogs allowed. After a company presentation, candidates underwent a written assessment of moderate difficulty (7-8/10), lasting 20-40 minutes. Out of all eligible students across electrical, mechanical, and chemical branches (civil did not participate), 14 were shortlisted. The process included technical and HR interviews conducted on the same day, with final results announced approximately 20 days later.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
The test was entirely based on core subjects relevant to the branch, with most questions focused on topics studied in the third year, as it\\\’s the primary year for core subjects. For chemical engineering, for example, topics included distillation and process instrumentation diagrams. While some questions were from the first year, the majority were from third-year subjects. No aptitude questions were included.
