Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, my name is Khwahish Mittal. I am an enthusiastic and determined Undergraduate pursuing Electronics and Computer Engineering from Thapar University. My current CGPA is 9.44. I am passionate about coding and have a keen interest in web development. My career objective is to use my technical skills to contribute to a team that works at scale and creates impact on society.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

It varied from student to student. When I talked to other people, they were not asked about dynamic programming and graphs whereas I was questioned on these topics which are considered as the toughest topics of data structures. So I’d rate it 8.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

For the shortlisting 1130 students were shortlisted on the basis of CGPA. The CGPA  cut was 7.But later on the basis of CGPA , resume and academics, only 93 students were shortlisted for the test. So, firstly it was a pre-placement talk in which there was a two-way interaction, and later on the written test was conducted. After the written test 14 students were shortlisted for interview round 1. From interview round 1, 5 students were selected for interview round 2, and lastly 3 students were selected for the final placement.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

The written test was of two hours, and it comprises two sections each of 1 hour. The sections were divided as follows:

Section 1: Coding

3 Coding Questions

(Easy, Medium, Hard)

For section one, we needed to completely submit one question in order to get to the next question, and we could not toggle between them.

Section 2: MCQs

It comprised further subsections, where it comprised 25 aptitude and 47 technical questions which had to be attempted in another one hour. The technical questions included questions of C/C++, cloud computing, OS and DBMS.

After the written test 14 people got shortlisted, 13 from CSE background and only one from ECE background.
