Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

My name is Avantika, and I am currently in my 4th year of engineering. I recently completed my 7th semester and will soon be starting my internship with ZS. I am from Punjab.I have spent most of my life in boarding school, and after that, I pursued my engineering. Now, I am excited to move forward in my journey toward a career in consultancy.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

I would say that opting for a non-traditional method of placement, like participating in challenges, is relatively easier. These challenges, being team-based, provide a collaborative environment that makes the process more manageable.

If you participate in such challenges before your 7th semester, it can significantly reduce your stress. At that point, you’re not only working as part of a team but also building valuable skills without the immense pressure of placement season. Overall, I found the process easier, and I’d rate it around a 5 to 6 on a difficulty scale.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

During my placement journey, I didn’t go through the traditional methods like coding tests or standard technical interviews, as my placement was with a non-tech company. I secured my position with ZS through the Campus Beats Challenge organized by ZS Associates during my 6th semester.

The challenge required us to work on two case studies as a team. After putting in a lot of effort, we were shortlisted among the top teams. This recognition granted us a PPI (Pre-Placement Interview), which marked the next step in the process.

After receiving the PPI, I appeared for an English assessment test, which was followed by two interview rounds. The first interview revolved around the case studies we had worked on during the challenge, where I was required to present and discuss our work. The second interview was an HR round, focusing more on personal aspects, including my aspirations and how well I aligned with the company’s culture.
