Interview Questions
Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
Hi! I am Deepanshu, student of Computer Science and Engineering at Chitkara University Punjab Campus, currently in my 7th semester. I got placed on campus in my 6th semester in the month of April. I am currently interning at FICO, Bengaluru as a Software Engineer.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
The difficulty level was quite decent. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate it around 7-8.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
At first, just before the companies were going to visit the campus, we had to go through an Employability Test. It was conducted and multiple platforms like CodeQuiotient, eLitmus etc. and the collective score was to be considered. The top tier students on the basis of the result of this test were given chance to sit in the placement drive in companies which came initially, exclusively.
In my case I cleared the employability tests successfully, so I was able to apply in the initial companies.
In case of FICO, first round was resume shortlisting. Then second was a written test round, inclusive of DSA, English and other core CS subjects like Java, etc. Then third round was a technical interview based upon my skills and projects, and also related to their requirements. And then the final round, the fourth round was the HR round which was more about the general discussions and was communication oriented.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
Around 500 students got shortlisted for the written test after resume shortlisting. Test was conducted in the Exploretorium under the supervision of several invigilators, both from the university and from the company also. Test included Coding, Aptitude, English and some general questions. Post this test, after clearing it, there were around 200 students who got eligible for the technical interview which was online taken by the company faculty. And after the shortlisting of this technical interview, there was the HR round, again it was online by the company itself. And this was the last round.
