Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
I’m Harsh Gupta, a final year student pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at Thapar University. I am thrilled to share that I’ve secured a position as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Celigo . Throughout my academic journey, I’ve maintained a consistent and strong academic record, with a current Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 9.12 as of the end of my sixth semester.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
The difficulty level of the interview was around 7, not very tricky but requiring consistency and a good understanding of all concepts.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
So the interview process for the position started with an online screening round, followed by multiple rounds of evaluation. The process consisted of four rounds:
- Online Screening (Round 1): This initial round was conducted online and focused on coding skills. I had 1 to 1.5 hours to solve three coding questions. This round aimed to assess my ability to write efficient and effective code.
- DSA Questions (Round 2): The second round was also online and included two Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) questions. This round assessed my proficiency in problem-solving and algorithmic thinking.
- Project-Based Discussions (Round 3): In this round, I engaged in discussions related to my projects and experiences. It provided an opportunity to showcase my practical knowledge in the field of Web Development and how I applied it in real-world scenarios.
- HR Interview (Round 4): The final round was an HR interview where I asked general questions like “Why I choose Thapar?” and also scenario based questions dealing with corona era.
The entire interview process was conducted online, which made it convenient and accessible. It was a rigorous but rewarding experience, allowing me to demonstrate my technical skills, project expertise, and alignment with the company’s values and goals.
