Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
Hello, I\’m Japneet Kaur, a fourth-year student pursuing Computer Science and Business Systems at Thapar Institute. The interdisciplinary nature of CSBS has honed my skills in both technology and business, enabling me to cultivate a robust business acumen. This knowledge recently facilitated my successful internship application at Bain & Co.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
I would rate the difficulty level of the interview as a 6-7, but it\’s important to note that this rating can be quite subjective and may vary from person to person.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
So, the procedure for Bain&co. commenced with the company shortlisting around 800 preference forms (preference on roles) based on resumes out of a total of 1100-1200 received. Subsequently, these shortlisted candidates underwent an online test comprising 5 questions. Following this stage, depending on one\’s Centre of Excellence (COE), candidates faced either one or two interviews. In my case, aligned with my COE, I participated in two interviews.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
So, the online test comprised 5 questions specifically tailored for the candidates. It encompassed 3 questions related to data interpretation and 2 questions focused on making assumptions based on English paragraphs. The test aimed to assess analytical skills, data interpretation abilities, and English comprehension of the candidates.
