Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hi! I’m Tanishq Gupta. I’m a fourth-year student studying electronics and communication engineering, and ProcDNA has hired me. Data analysis will be one of my duties at work. Reading books is one of my interests. Because I think start-ups provide you greater freedom to accomplish what you want while simultaneously teaching you something, working for one has always been a dream of mine. I’ve always been the type of guy who enjoys experimenting. I am easily bored, thus I prefer a challenging environment.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

The difficulty level of the interview was 4/10.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

There were 800 applicants who were shortlisted based on their resumes and required to take the online test; 200 students were then selected from the online test. Then, the students who had been shortlisted further had to show up for a group discussion (GD), a case study round (a written test conducted offline), a case interview round, and lastly the FIT round.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

*ONLINE TEST*(aptitude + general logical reasoning)
test platform: HirePro
duration: 60 minutes (50 MCQs)
questions like find the missing number in the series of numbers and direction reasoning were asked, for e.g X travels 4 km towards the north and then travels 5 km eastward. He then travels 10 km rightward, 3 km to the left, and finally 5 km northward. How far is he approximately from his original destination and in what direction?
*GD ROUND* (8 people in 1 GD)
Since I’m not a lover of sports in any way and don’t watch cricket, the GD round was a little challenging for me. The topic was “who will win the T20 world cup.” I discussed all the things in which I had faith, such as the fact that Afghanistan will not win. One thing I did was pay attention to every GD member, then I used what I learned from their opinions and came up with my own argument to make.
*CASE STUDY ROUND* (written)
They had a business model ready for the case study portion. There is a company that makes two different washing machines. One is their older model, which has been tested and proven to operate effectively on the market; additionally, they just introduced washing machines. Then, they included a tonne of data on the document, including quarterly sales till 2021, a few additional items, and a graph. there are four questions to answer as well.
1. The quarterly sales for 2022 had to be predicted, then. All the information for 2021 has been provided, and you now need to project the results based on that information.
2. Given that both washing machines are produced by the same business, it is clear from the growth curves of both washing machines that when sales of one climb, sales of the other fall. Therefore, using the graph’s slope as a guide, you had to determine where and when the graphs would intersect.
3. Based on data for all employees, you must identify which salesperson performs the poorest and whom you should fire from the organisation. You must also provide an explanation for your decision.
4. There were numerous Excel tables provided. There were a lot of zip codes in the table. To ensure that this data was accurate, we had to choose which quality check to apply.
