Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

Beginning with the online application form, applicants with a CGPA of 7 or higher, were allowed to apply for Airtel. The form included general questions such as basic applicant introductory details and Resume submission. All applicants who completed the form were shortlisted to take the online test.

The test comprised four sections: the first section was motion challenge, the second one was switch challenge, both of these were mental ability based simulation challenges, the third section tested analytical reasoning skills by providing passages with questions that included pie charts, tables, and graphs, and the fourth section consisted of 2 coding questions ranging from medium to easy difficulty. All the sections were time bound.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

In my first technical interview, the assessment covered Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), my projects, and a few more technical domains. I was initially presented with a DSA question related to Linked Lists. I was able to do it. Subsequently, I was questioned about Database Management Systems (DBMS) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts followed by a small discussion on my projects.

The second interview was primarily project-focused. It began with an explanation of my projects in detail. Then, I was asked to create a system design for one of my projects on a whiteboard, where I outlined the complete system architecture, along with specifying the APIs and screens. Following this, I encountered two coding questions, one was priority queue-based and the other was sorting-based. In the first, he asked me to just explain my approach, and in the second, he asked me to write the actual code too. I could do both of them.

Additionally, I tackled two fundamental SQL-based questions, where I had to write queries. Furthermore, I was inquired about my experience with databases, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL database, which I used during my recent internship and in a few projects. Lastly, I was asked about my specific contributions to my intern project.
