Interview Questions
Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
I am Jitesh Chawla, pursuing BE CSE from Chitkara University and I am in my 4th year of engineering and I have been selected as an SDE Intern in Autodesk. Autodesk is a global leader in software for architects, builders, engineers, designers, manufacturers, 3D artists and production teams. Our design and make technology spans a wide range of industries to empower innovators everywhere to solve challenges big and small. Autodesk’s mission is to empower innovators with design and make technology so they can achieve the new possible.
I have been doing Competitive Programming [CP] on Code Forces and Leet Code platform since 2 years and my team went to ICBC finals 3 times of which once we got AIR-83 and I have done development both front-end and back-end and made good innovative projects using Blockchain Technology.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
According to me, the level of interview depend upon your preparation and knowledge about the basic concepts of engineering. The interview was not very difficult in terms of DSA because data structures questions were very easy as in those questions could be very easily solved by a normal coder too. And the questions related to core engineering concepts like DBMS, OS and System Design requiring in-depth knowledge and clarity were asked during the technical rounds and one Puzzle was the highlight of my HR round which I was able to solve fully.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
Autodesk’s placement round was open to all and those who cleared the First Round [Online Coding Test] were selected for further testing. So the first round was very easy and the selected students got a mail regarding the selection and than an online coding test was taken in which 4 coding questions were asked and than the top 30 students were selected for the technical rounds. Two (2) technical rounds were taken and than One(1) HR/Managerial Round took place and than on the basis of performance in all the three rounds 5 students were selected. All the interview rounds were online like we gave all the tests on our laptops.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
An online coding round was taken in which Four(4) Coding questions were asked which were very simple and basic C++ programming skills were being used in it. Even if you have basic coding skills and are able to solve easy to medium level questions on platforms like Leet Code and Code Forces you would have easily cleared the Online Test.
