Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers
Hello, I\’m Khushi Goel, a 7th-semester student pursuing Computer Science Engineering at Thapar Institute. Throughout my journey, I’ve dedicated my efforts to mastering Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) along with core subjects such as OOPS , DMBS etc. I\’m excited to share my experiences as an aspiring Software Development Engineer at BNY Mellon.
Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)
I would rate the difficulty level of the interview as a 6-7, but it’s important to note that this rating can be quite subjective and varies from person to person.
Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)
The placement procedure at my institution consisted of a two-step process. First, there was a 7.5 CGPA cutoff, followed by a coding assessment. Second, candidates who passed the assessment moved on to three interviews: two technical interviews and one HR interview, with a strong emphasis on the candidate\’s resume.
Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)
The written test which was passed by 26 of total candidates, included four coding questions, with a mix of difficulty levels: two were easy, one was medium, and one was hard. I was able to solve the easy and medium one’s but the hard question had 12 test cases, and I successfully cleared 2-4 of them.
