Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hi Everyone, my name is Vipul Gupta and I’m a final-year student of COE at TIET, Patiala. I’m good at problem solving(at least I believe this :p) and I’m very much interested in doing coding(still far from being an expert though :p). I am a part of Unsaid Talks core team since a year. I am a person with positive attitude who thinks that one should always focus on efforts rather than caring about the results.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

There were total 3 rounds of assessment, out of which 2 were online test which was followed by a personal interview round. The first round was held for the shortlisted students based on CGPA criteria of 8. Almost 400 students appeared in that round. The process was as follows:
Round 1: Online Test on Hackerearth: 50 MCQs based on Aptitude questions(Basic Maths, English Grammar, Bar and Line Graphs) and Technical aptitude(OOPS, CS basics) and 2 easy level coding questions were there. One question was related to symmetric arrangement of elements of an array around a number and other was also a simple problem based on the greedy algorithm. Anyone who know basics of programming could have easily solved both of them. Time limit was approx. 2 hrs.
Round 2: Online Test held on SHL: Another test followed after 1 hr. Around 250 people sit for this round out of 500 based on performance in 1st round. Test consisted of questions based on Aptitude and Mathematical and English Reasoning. Speed is the kingmaker in this test. You have to quite fast in attempting questions as time is limited. One thing which I did was I instantly skipped the lengthy questions by making a wild guess.
Round 3: Coding and Assessment Interview: Personal Interview of selected candidates was held which was a mixture of HR and Technical Interview, questions related to basic concepts related to Operating System, Database Management, Computer Networks and Algorithms. We also had a good discussion over 1 of my project. Although allotted time was 45 minutes for the interview, but I was grilled for 1 hr 15 minutes, xD. As they say expect the unexpected in campus placements :).
