Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hey, I’m Gunjeev, a fourth-year engineering student from the batch of 2024. I’ve always been deeply interested in technology and aspired to pursue a tech-oriented role. However, this internship has unexpectedly steered me in an entirely different direction.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

Difficulty of the interview was largely determined by the depth of understanding and knowledge one possesses about the items listed on their resume. When a candidate is well-versed in their qualifications, they are more likely to perform exceptionally. However, if an individual has fabricated information on their resume, they will undoubtedly face difficulties during the cross-questioning phase, potentially leading to their exposure.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

Round 1 comprised an Aptitude Test consisting of 40-45 questions that needed to be answered within 45 minutes. This test aimed to evaluate analytical and linguistic aptitude.

Rounds 2 and 3 were dedicated to interviews, with each round lasting 30 minutes. These interviews were conducted by four VPs of JPMC, each with their respective panels. Furthermore, each candidate was interviewed by two separate panels.

Round 4 was the HR Round.

All rounds, except the HR round, served as elimination rounds.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

The aptitude test consisted of 40-45 questions that needed to be answered within 45 minutes. The questions covered topics such as logical reasoning, basic math, and time-speed-distance. Effective time management was crucial as there was limited time allotted for each question, and the difficulty level ranged from moderate to difficult.
