Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

I am Lovetoz Singh Poonia, pursuing BE CSE from Chitkara University and I am in my 4th year of engineering and am currently working as a software engineer at Digivriddhi Technologies Private Limited [ startup ]. It\’s a FinTech company which deals with financial payments with agro and dairy farmers. It is using AI/ML to solve some complex real life problems in this field to ease out farmers life when it comes to financial dealings.
And right Now I am working as a Full-Stack Developer there, so I am dealing with back-end and front-end part of whatever projects I am involved in and I am also currently developing AI models dedicated to the main problem solving of our startup.
My hobbies include creating applications and solving practical problems. Like for example I created an application for Chitkara University in which I created a digital platform for ID cards and Mess cards. I also created an application to solve the problem of Digital Donations and now it has over 10K installments on Play Store.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

The level of interview depend upon your preparation and knowledge about the basic concepts of data structures. Also you should be confident regarding your project and should have great clarity about the technology used in it, what problems you faced while building it, what R&D you did during that phase.
So the interviewer would be interested in knowing all these things and he will extract the qualities like attitude, personality, energy etc. of yours by asking about the project.
I had prepared well for the DSA since the 1st year and also I had been working on the project dedicatedly. So my DSA had become a strong point and I was confident for my project too.
That\’s why my interview went easy.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

First of all shortlisting is mostly done on the basis of CGPA [ a minimum cut-off is set like 7-7.5 ], than the coding [ technical ] round is taken and then the final selected candidates have to appear for the HR round.
And the level of interview depend upon your preparation and knowledge about the concepts.
In the Round 1 i.e. technical round, CTO of the company was present to take the test, we were asked questions from our projects and 1-2 DSA questions. As I have already told you that \” Project and DSA will decide your fate in the interview. \”
DSA questions are from the basic 500 questions present on the LeetCode and if you have practiced those you will be easily able to solve them.
Then in the HR round more of personality related questions were asked and also the interviewer was interested in knowing whether we were aware of the company and it\’s work or not. In the HR round you should have the attitude that you are better than the other candidates present there and you should try to prove that why the company should choose you over them.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

Our technical round was taken physically and for our surprise the CTO [ Chief Technology Officer ] of the company was also present there and we were asked to solve 2 DSA questions.
I was able to solve those questions easily as I had done enough preparation and solved almost all the DSA questions present on the LeetCode.
[1] One question was from DP [ Dynamic Programming ] – Rod Cutting Problem.
[2] And was an easy – Job Scheduling Problem.
