Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, I am Parv Taneja, currently working as an Implementation Analyst at MoEngage in Bangalore. I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Engineering, and I am a 4th-year student at Chitkara University. It’s a pleasure to introduce myself to the readers and share a bit about my placement journey.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

The interview levels at MoEngage fell in the range of 5.5 to 6, which I found to be moderately challenging but not overly difficult.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

The interview process at MoEngage was a multi-step journey. It all began with an initial session where they provided a brief overview of the role and the company, helping us get acquainted with what to expect.

Then came the college exam results and CGPA assessments, narrowing down the pool to 400 applicants from the initial 600. In the next phase, 200 candidates were shortlisted, which brought us into the realm of group discussions (GD). This was an exciting stage where 12 individuals engaged in discussions and presented their perspectives.

Out of these GD rounds, 70 candidates emerged as the cream of the crop, who then moved on to the next round another interview, which included 25 individuals. This rigorous selection process eventually led to the final shortlist of candidates who would have the chance to join the MoEngage team.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

The interviews at MoEngage were designed to assess problem-solving capacity and critical thinking. They included multiple-choice questions (MCQs) related to Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) in JavaScript.
