Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Snehil is a final-year student from the CSE branch at Thapar, and it’s a rollercoaster ride, but his best suggestion to someone who’s going to sit for placements in a year or two would be to stay patient and wait for their time; it will surely come.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

I would rate the overall difficulty level to be 8.5 out of 10.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

The initial shortlisting was based on a CV. After that, an online test with questions from both the coding and aptitude sectors was conducted. After these two, there was a value assessment test. Then there were two rounds of interviews, one technical and the other HR.

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

There was an online test with questions from both the coding and aptitude sectors. After that, the value assessment test is unique to HSBC, and they do it so that you can test how a person will react in a specific situation. For this test, Snehil was given different situations and the three best reactions to each one. You are expected to say which one of those three things you will be able to offer.
