Interview Questions

Ques. Introduce yourself to the readers

Hello, I am Yash Kumar currently pursuing my Bachelor of Engineering at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in the field of Computers. During the duration of my course, I have developed various projects assuming the role of a backend developer and also secured the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification. I have interned at Beumer Group India focusing on dashboarding of logged data and data visualization. I am a computer enthusiast and passionate about learning more about technology and gaining new skills.

Ques. What was the difficulty level of the interview? (1- very easy, 10-very difficult)

I would rate the placement process to be an 8.5. The whole procedure assessed an individual wholly in every aspect whether it be the academic part or the application of core concepts learned during the coursework.

Ques. What was the procedure of the placement that took place? (Shortlisting criteria/ coding or aptitude test/ number of interviews)

The complete procedure had about 5 steps:
1. Applying for the company.
2. Written Test
3. Interview 1
4. Interview 2
5. HR round

Ques. Tell us about the written/online test. (Aptitude, Coding, Test Platform, etc)

The written part consisted of two sections – the coding part and MCQs. A total of 90 mins. Were given for both.
1. Coding Questions –
It consisted of three coding questions in which one question was to be done in C which is a distinctive factor as many companies prefer C++ or provide options, while the other two questions could be done in any language of choice. The first question was about sorting structures (to be solved in C language), the second included the longest increasing subsequence, third was to find maximum profit in an array by sustaining at least k losses (negative values in the array). I was able to solve the first two questions and 10 of the 15 test cases of the third were correct. These questions required good basics and concepts and had moderate difficulty.
2. MCQ’s-
The MCQ round was primarily based on AWS, Aptitude, DSA, and OOPS and had about 10 questions. The questions varied for each candidate and had to complete within the time constraint of 90 mins, along with the coding part.
